The Luther Pecan Festival, now in its 6th year, promises a spectacular weekend in November. Organizers are pulling out all the stops for an even grander celebration than in previous years.

Luther's Main Street will burst to life, hosting over 100 vendors, artists, young entrepreneurs, food trucks, and nonprofits. The festivities aim to celebrate the fresh pecan harvest, kick off holiday shopping, and champion small businesses.

  • Best Pecan Pie:

Fresh Pecan Pie

Pecan pie is a wonderfully subjective dessert, with variations in sweetness, nut quantity, flavorings, and even the pronunciation—whether you say “pee-can” or “peh-kahn.” Oklahoma is fortunate to have the freshest pecans, elevating this pie to a Thanksgiving essential in the state.

  • Other Pecan Delights:

While pies often steal the spotlight in pecan discussions, the festival offers a delightful array of pecan-inspired products. Shoppers can explore pecan-infused candles, lip balms, coffee, candy, sourdough bread, and more.

Additionally, there are family-friendly activities such as face painting, cotton candy, kettle corn, pony rides, and the chance to interact with adorable animals like llamas and bunnies.

  • Gathering of over 100+ Vendors:

Main Street is set to blossom into a vibrant hub of creativity and flavor as artisans, specialty food creators, nonprofits, food trucks, and various other unique offerings come together for two days of pure awesomeness.

The festival is reaching new heights, with over 100 vendors opting to showcase their talents during the weekend just before Thanksgiving.

  • Enjoy the Tastes of Autumn:

Treat your taste buds to a variety of specialty foods that capture the rich, comforting flavors of the season, all crafted locally.

Whether you fancy savory delights or sweet treats, our festival presents a diverse selection of culinary pleasures that will have you yearning for more.

  • Empowering Female Entrepreneurs:

In the vibrant canvas of festivals like the Luther Pecan Festival, the spotlight shines on small businesses, with a particular focus on the achievements of female business owners.

  • Supporting Non-Profit Causes:

The 2023 Luther Pecan Festival opens its arms to various nonprofits, with Pivot Preserves taking the lead.

This new social enterprise is an initiative of Pivot, A Turning Point for Youth in Oklahoma City, providing an opportunity to contribute to meaningful causes.

History of Luther Pecan Festival:

The very first Luther Pecan Festival happened on November 18, 2017.

The U.S. makes most of the world's pecans, and in 2017, Oklahoma was number one among the states in producing them.

The Couch Pecan Orchard starts selling their pecans on November 15 every year.

Founder of Luther Pecan Festival:

The Luther Pecan Festival was started by Dawn Shelton from the Luther Register News. She noticed a lot of people coming to Luther every November for top-notch nuts freshly picked at The Orchard on 66, also known as Couch Pecan Orchard.

Now, the orchard has a new look to match its spot and the new owners plan to give more reasons to visit all year long. They're even introducing a "Trail of Cheer" in December!
